Kingfish Lures

These slow pitch/slow jig or fast jig lures are effective for Kingfish, Wreckfish, and all pelagics, including bluefin and Yellowfin tuna.

These lures can be slow pitched, slow jigged, hi speed jigged both vertically and horizontally or trolled behind a boat. Shore pitching is also a great way to fish them, and is basically hi speed horizontal jigging. Allowing the jig to fall to the bottom periodically, then lifting and winding is a great way to entice a bite.

Rigged with 5x bkk assist hooks, a single tail 5x or a Mustad treble these lures are made strong enough to do battle with large angry fish.

Adding a stinger hook to the tail can help with hookups, but often leads to more than one fish on the line at once, which is not ideal.

The lures are hand painted in durable powdercoat that has an added advantage of being UV bright (shine a uv torch on them to see this effect). This is significant when fishing deeper than 30 meters, as normal colors begin losing visibility.
